WHITE CLIFFS OF DOVER

WHITE CLIFFS OF DOVER

The lyrics from one of the most beautiful and poignant songs of WW II contains:

"They're be bluebirds over, the White Cliffs of Dover, tomorrow, just you wait and see.

The're be love and laughter, and peace ever after, tomorrow, when the world is free."

Over 6 miles of the White Cliffs coast is under the National Trust's protection.  We visited the White Cliffs and walked some of the trails.

DOVER CASTLE

We drove East of London and traveled to Dover on the English Channel.  Dover Castle was built in the 1180's and the secret medieval tunnels housed a underground hospital and command center during WW II.
