We stayed at Fort Mohave on the outskirts of Bullhead City, AZ.  Our first trip was to the historic mining/ghost town of Oatman located along the old Route 66 and famous for the burros that were let loose after the mine closed.

No trip to the area is complete without a visit to Lake Havasu City and the famous London Bridge.  The founder of Lake Havasu City, Robert McCulloch, bought the London Bridge at auction in England in 1964 with a bid of $2,460,000.  It cost an additional $7,000,000 to move and install the bridge.
