We departed South Dakota on February 20 traveling to Sugar Land, Texas with stops in Limon, CO and Quanah, TX. The weather and roads were good the 1500 mile trip to Texas. We spent two days visiting Brazos Bend State Park and birding in the area before continuing to Georgia. Here are a few of the pictures taken.

American Bittern with a Cottonmouth snake.  Note that the snake has coiled itself up to prevent the bird from swallowing it.  This was a rare viewing opportunity for us.
